Word 2007-numerous issues

HELP!!!
Issue 1:
I just installed OFFICE 2007 & when I open a document (New or old) I can not
go back to previous marked lines and edit text, I have to arrow back to teh
place I want to change.

Issue 2
I would like to change my options but when I open word & select options, the
screen comes up, but I can not select any options. So I cant use this feature
to fix issue 1.

Issue 3

When I close Word (EVERY TIME) I get an error message that Wod has stopped
working & it trys to find the problem, but never does. I have run the
diagnostics & it finds nothing.

I refuse to pay Microsoft $99 to help fix this. Office 2000 & 2003 both
worked fine.

I am on a vista computer.
