Word 2007 Office button

About 75% of the time that I click on the Office button to open, print, save,
etc. a document it closes the program. It is really frustrating.What is going
on?

It's acting as if you're double-clicking it. Maybe you really are, or
maybe the switch contacts in your mouse button are "bouncing" and
Windows is seeing that as a double-click. Try going into the mouse
properties dialog from the Control Panel and adjusting the
double-click speed.
