Word 2007 Problem

Recently, whenever I open Word 2007, it opens up an old document instead of
a blank page. I have tried both the Word 2007 shortcut on my Desktop, as
well as from Start > Programs. Is there a way to reset or repair Word, or
maybe rename or delete a Normal or Template file to solve this problem?

Chances are you saved the old document in a template, probably
normal.dot. Close Word, rename normal.dot to xnormal.dot and Word
will create a new blank normal.dot the next time it executes.
