Word 2007 XML Editor

E

Elessvie

Hello everyone. I'm brand new to Word 2007, beginning to learn about XML,
and am trying to see the XML schema of an .XML document. I'm opening it with
the XML Editor, but still see no XML, just the usual Word document.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for any help.

Lynne,

Do you mean that you are trying to see the XML structure of a Word document
(.docx or .docm).

To see this you will need to put the file on your desktop (or really you can
use any directory), add a .zip extension to the file and then extract the
zip contents to the directory. Then open the new unzipped Word folder and
then open the Document.XML file.
