Word 2007

I upgraded to Office 2007. My macros work fine in Word but now they
do not work in Outlook... they did before. I have many macros defined
but no good if I can't use them in Outlook. For example... I have one
macro that is set up which types about 3 sentences instead of me
having to type this all the time... I just click CTL D. Any ideas...
Thanks, Linda.

outlook 2007 doesn't use full-blown Word 2007 as its email editor - it just
uses a sub-set of it...

Thanks... wonder why they did that! From a user standpoint MS should
have left that alone. I've not a clue how to set-up macros in
Outlook... I know it's not as easy as Word.

The reason why they removed Word as the email editor from Outlook was
because it was so unstable few could actually use it. If you were able to
use it then count yourself as one of the lucky. :) I personally encountered
the dreaded message "A dialog box is open, please close and try again" every
time I started Word when using it as the email editor in Word in previous
versions. Which, incidentally, there wasn't a dialog box open -- I had to
close Outlook in order to start Word. That's only one example. There are
numerous others. So from this user's viewpoint, I'm thankful for the change.
:)

BUT what you *can* do is add the email button to your Quick Access Toolbar
and still use Word and your macros for email. To do so, right-click your QAT
and select "Customize Quick Access Toolbar". In the "Commands Not in the
Ribbon" category locate "Send to Mail Recipient" and it to your QAT.
