Word 2011 templates and toolbars

1) When I create a toolbar associated with a template in Word 2011, it
looks and functions fine. Until I save and exit the template. Then
when I attach, associate, or trigger (via Startup) the template, the
toolbar is gone. Not just invisible, but utterly gone. Anyone
experiencing this problem? I've tried saving as .dotm and as .dot.

2) Anyone have a workaround for the missing LoadPicture function in
Word 2011? It was present in Word 2004 (and in all Win Words).

3) Any tips for migrating Word 2004 templates (and their toolbars) to
Word 2011, aside from the showstopper issues above? So far, all I can
say is, What a bloody mess.

Anybody? Anything? Is Microsoft listening? Surely someone besides me
is trying to use VBA in Word 2011....

I think you'd be best to go with setting up a ribbon menu system
rather than a toolbar. This still allows you to link buttons to your
VBA code. Seehttp://openxmldeveloper.org/articles/customuieditor.aspx
for a free download.

Someone in another venue suggested the same thing to me a few days
ago. I'll look into this. Thanks, JRob.

If you need any help piecing this together to run your VBA code just
let me know.
