MS Word documents - all of my old ones - as I open them the open with a big
P every where and a dot between all the words.how do I globally get rid of
that from MSWord docs/

Unclick the Show/Hide button in the Standard toolbar - looks like a
backwards P - called a Pilcrow.

Open a document in Word.

Click on Tools, followed by Options, followed by View.

Remove any ticks in the section marked Formatting marks.

Save the document.

That will remove all punctuation marks from the current document - and may
have the same effect on all other documents.

If the problem persists, open the "normal.dot" file, perform the same
changes, and save "normal.dot".
