Word 2k won't save a change to a doc

D

DannyC

After I've made a change to an existing document, I hit the save icon as usual. When I go over to the top right to close the document, the pop-up window comes up and asks if I want to save the changes. When I click yes, I expect the document to close but it doesn't. If I click no, the document closes. When I open it back up, the change I made is not there. Also, if I leave the document open long enough, a pop-up window comes up and says "Saving the Autorecovery is postponed for Normal.dot". When I try to close Word, another pop-up window comes up and says, "Changes have been made that affect the global template, Normal.dot. Do you want to save those changes?" I don't know what to do. Somebody please help
