Word 5.1 Menus in Word / Office v.x

(sorry if this is a dupe - I tried to post before, but had no luck,
using google - error message appeared.)

I am a long time Word (and now Office) user, starting with Word 4.x,
Word 5.1 for a long time, and most recently, Word/Office 98 (in Mac OS
9). I recently upgraded to Mac OS X and Office v.x. In Word 98, there
was a great option to show Word 5.1 Menus instead of the 'more modern'
version. However, I can't seem to find this option in v.x - does
anyone know if this feature has been removed, or am I doing something
incorrectly?

I did find an option under Tools --> Customize which will show the 5.1
toolbar - this is great, but not as helpful as the option to show the
5.1 menus.

I also saw another thread
(http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=....2A060%25bethrosengard%40earthlink.net&rnum=1)
However, I tried all of the suggestions mentioned there, but to no
avail.

Any suggestions? Thank you so much.

Altogether this message appeared four times in three different threads. If
you're having trouble with Google in your browser, and/or plan to stick
around, you'll find it better to use Entourage or another news reader.
You'll see your message in the newsgroup within about 30 seconds or so, and
will get replies much faster too.

See my response in the "Microsoft News Server [was Re: UPDATE -- Re: Word
unexpectedly quits - TEST RESULTS]" thread (my goodness - some people do
like long subjects) for a good and safe way to do it.
