Word 6.01 for Mac

Jay Donenfeld

I am sure that this is in here somewhere, but is there an
upgrade for Word 6.01/Mac to work in OS 10.x.x?? I am
getting kind of tired of dropping down to 9.2 to use it.
Thankz in advance, Jay.

You need to update to Office2001 for Mac first. Then you can update to
OfficeX Miscrosft won't allow you to jump from W6 (Office4.2) directly
to OfficeX. They have to extract the pound of flesh but its not as big a
pound of flesh as buying over the counter.

Hi Jay:

No.

OS 9 is Mac OS. OS X is BSD Unix. Just about the only similarity between
them is the file system, and Word 6 was coded for Mac OS.

Cheers
