I am using Word97 under Windows XP and programatically
load & install Word add-ins (templates which hold code
modules).
I would like to be able to run 2 instances of Word on one
PC each with their own set of add-ins to prevent memory
conflicts but cannot get this to work consistently on
every PC.
So, if I load 2 instances of Word, it appears that the
AutoExec code runs twice and performs the function to load
& install the add-ins. On some PCs I get the error
message 'Compile error in hidden module', whilst other PCs
run without this error.
I am expecting to be able to run the 2 instances
independent of each other, but cannot determine what is
stopping this happening on some PCs.
Is there a specific (registry) setting which is causing
this conflict between instances of Word and the add-ins?
Thanks, David
