Word 97 printing error

On one of my computers I can print a word document fine if
I save it. The problem is, whenever I open a word document
and make some changes I have to save it before I can print
it. If i try an print it before I save the changes I get
the forllowing error:
Windows cannot print due to a problem with the current
printer set up. I can't figure out why I can print after I
save a Document, but not before, or when I make some
changes. Any Idea's? Im using Office 97 Professional,
Svc. Pk 2. My OS Is windows 2000. The printer is a HP
4000n LaserJet. Any help would be much appreciated.
