Word 97 underline problem

I have a user that gets small boxes every time she tries
to use the shifted dash (or shifted minus ) key.

What font is she using and does it happen with every font?

Beth,

Thanks for the reply. I changed the font to Arial and it
did not do it, so I changed back to New Times Roman and
this cleared up the problem. The only thing I can think
of is some kind of a weird font issue that disappeared
when the font was reloaded.
