Word 97 vs W 2003 or newer

If you wanted to present compelling, cost saving reasons to your
employer's management for moving from Word 97 (where we are) to W2003
or W2007, what reasons would you cite? I want to make a business
case.

If anyone out there has some solid reasons they could share, I would
greatly appreaciate learning about them.

Thank you.

Support - if you have issues with Office 97 (any product in the group) you will not be able to get support or pay a premium for paid support.

Compatibility - your version will not be able to run any presentations sent in the Office 2007 formats. Microsoft has made a compatibility option for Office XP and 2003, but 2000 and anything earlier are out of mainstream (and extended support in 97's case) support and will not be able to read newer file formats.

Security issues - I don't recall the last time that Microsoft published any security fixes for Office 97. Being out of extended support means that no fixes are available and cannot be had from Microsoft.

Hope this helps.
