Word 97 - Will not load.

Word 97 will not load. We have uninstalled and reinstalled
all of Office97, but not luck.

If you click on a Word document it will open word and
everything is fine. However, if you bring word up from
programs, or a shortcut on the desktop it starts it with
no tool bars and locks up the application and the PC.

Any suggestions.

Have you applied the latest Service Packs & Patches for Office 97?

Also make sure that Office 97 SP1 is installed, you will find the link to
