Word 97 Workgroup Templates

I have set the location of the workgroup templates to a
shared location on a network server. When I choose
file/new, I get a response that reads "Cannot open the
templates in the workgroup templates location you
selected." It works if the location is on a local drive
but not a network shared location. It does work in Word
2000, 2002, and 2003, but not 97. Has anyone run into
this issue before.

Have you fully shared the folder work the Workgroup templates are?

Andre,

Yes. The folder is shared out. I have even tried other
shares on different servers with the same response. It
will only work if the location is local. It is not an
issue with Word 2000, 2002, or 2003. However, I still
have users working on 97 that I need to resolve.
