Word has never been able to open *.exe files. I'm not sure about the
problem you are encountering opening documents. More details would
certainly be helpful here.

Are you encountering an error message? If so what is it?

I guess the message was sent by TEXTing from a mobile? It probably means
that the user cannot open either Word or by double-clicking a .doc file.
Obviously, no room for an error message here!
