word 98 mac OS 9 problems

I know I'm in the Dark Ages, but I recently upgraded to 9.2.2 and
my Word 98 crashes when opening with "error 2" message.
Any helpful words of advice on solving the problem?

Run through the troubleshooting fixes listed here:

Skip to this heading and try adding Memory first, perhaps:
Special Cases & Specific Errors
And if that doesn't work, go back to the beginning and work through the
suggestions (update as time allows, though)
