Word and Excel 2007 on XP

I have been using Office 2007 for quite some time now on an XP system. I
have tried to uninstall it and reinstall it, but am having the same problems.
I get a "Not Responding" message whenever I try to open a file in either of
these programs. When I open a "New" file I have no problem - it opens right
up. Sometimes the program will open, but with a blank screen. Even email
attachments (excel and word) give me the Not Responding error. It takes a
couple tries to get these programs going.

Any suggestions? This is getting very frustrating!

Perhaps you have an "Office Addin" with your Anti-virus program that is
interfering. If so, disable it in your anti-virus setup.
