Word and Excel

MS Office Suite SR/Pro: Word and Excel takes as long as 4
minutes to open.

I,ve tried everything from uninstalling to reinstalling
the applications, and just as the many others stated, it
seems to get hung-up on virus scan by Norton.

What is the remedy?

Norton Anti Virus Verisign certificate has run out of date. To resolve your
problem, Open NAV and disable the Office Plug-in option.

This happened to me and I made a post.

You need to disable the Office Plug from Norton. This
will correct it.

When I enabled it again, Word worked correct for A WHILE
and then it did the same thing.

I also rebooted after I disabled it.

It's definitely Norton causing the problem.

I disabled it for days now and I haven't had that problem
since.
