Word and Excell Always Open in a Partial Screen

Hi! I have MS Office Pro XP (2002). Everytime I open Word or Excel they open
in a partial screen (about 1/2) and then I have to maximize it. Any idea
what is causing this? Thanks!!!

the pc could be low on resources.

but the setting can be found
by right clicking on the shortcuts
and selecting the preferences in their
respective properties page...

Thanks for the quick reply. My system resources are fine. I didn't have any
shortcut for them on my desktop. However, I just made a shortcut for each of
them. When I click on Properties there is a Run dropdown window and I
selected Maximize for both programs but that didn't solve the problem.

well, you may have
adequate resources, but
it does not mean that your
system is using the sufficiently.

try a test by booting into safe
mode & see if they maximize..

I don't see how that would accomplish anything. I have an AMD Athalon 3700+
and 2GB of memory and my CPU usage is currently at 2 percent. I'm certainly
no computer expert but I think we're getting way off track here. Thanks
anyway for trying to help!

Try Dragging the window edges out to the side of the screen and then
close. See if the size sticks.
