word and images

hey all,
i'm creating a word document and i've inserted an image in my doc. The quirk
i'm experiencing is the image disappears constantly like if i scroll to a
different part of the document or use the scroller and it's not until i start
typing again is when i see the image again.

is this normal?
thanks,
rodchar

It could be your video driver. Have you ever updated it? You can
perform a test by tuning down the hardware accelerator in your display
panel. See this article for details...

However, the other issue is that you need to adjust the image anchors.

Turns out after coming in this morning and starting up my machine it didn't
happen the images stayed steady. Must have been a glitch in the machine.

Could have been.

However, it may have fallen more along the lines of my favorite
fix..."when in doubt, reboot."

And if that is the case, it could mean that you had too much garbage
running...were running too much stuff and your memory was lacking...or
you haven't cleared out your temp folder in ages and your resources
were being sucked up. All of which is also explained in the article I
referenced below...so you might want to check it out to prevent it
from happening again.

But it can be a quick fix that if you are suddenly having buggy
issues...it's a good idea to restart (reboot) your computer. This
simple step FORCES all the collected session junk to go back where it
belongs and does clear out a lot of stuff. But your TEMP folder needs
a regular, manual dumping to clear it out.
