Word and Outlook Lock up

I am new to this site and have a problem It may be in a earlier Threa
so for give me

I have an office in NZ that corresponds a lot in Japanese. Thi
Machine is Running Windows 2000 with all the Microsoft Update applie
along with Office 2003 with all the update applied. Problem is tha
when a email is created with Word as the email editor the Outloo
Client locks up. I can turn off Word as an editor and Create an
Send emails all day long, however when we turn word as the email edito
back on it locks the application up. I think I have isolated th
problem to the spell checker and the Japanese language. Is anybod
else having issues and is there a quick fix

You might want to take a peek at my thread above -- Document not
registered-Maddening. I too had the Word/e-mail editor problem and after
I unchecked that my error message went away. MS would refer to this as
"a feature."
