Word as E-Mail-Editor / Word Add-In

Hi!
I am having Word2003 with a *.dot file placed in Word-Startup-Folder
with AutoExec-VBACode included. Opening Word will load the *.dot as
AddIn and run the VBA-Code as I expect it to.
The Problem:
Starting Outlook2003 first (Word activated as E-Mail-Editor), the *.dot
will load as well but no VBA-Code is executed. When starting Word
afterwards (Outlook still open), the code will not run either.

Is there a way to force Outlook executing the AutoExec-VBACode in a
Word-AddIn?
