Word as Editor

I have office 2003 I am getting an error that says Word is set to be my
editor but is not available or not installed. Various solution options are
also given up to re-installing Office. I did all of them including re-install
but I still get the error message. I would rather not uninstal and then
re-instal because all of my email settings will be lost but it may be the
only option left. Anyone had this problem and solve it?

What about saving your office settings before the reinstall? Then you can
add them back afterwards.

Unless you delete the mail account, its not going to be lost - but it may
not fix the problem unless you clean the registry.
