Hi there
Does anyone uses the insert, object, autocad drawing in word?
I had Autocad 2006 installed and worked like this. When i wanted to edit the
dwg, e doublw click it and dwg´s i had created on autocad 2004, 2005 and
2006, opened for edition on autocad 2006.
I installed Autocad 2007 and uninstalled Autocad 2006.
All my other files created on autocad 2006, just dont open anymore. If i
create new word doc´s with autocad 2007 drawings they open fine.
Can someone help me please?
Im using office 2003

The whole issue with embedded objects, is that Word stores the data and a
reference to the application that knows how to manipulate that data. Word
itself is not involved in the manipulation itself. Which means that your
problem is with AutoCad, not Word.

Yes i understand but i still have autocad installed. I just changed version.
I always used it like thios since r13 of Autocad....
It just doesn´t open and even when you open the word doc, in all version i
had the option to edit the autocad object. Since i have autocad 2007 and
unistalled 2006, it shows edit voloview container....i try convert to
autocad drawing option but still it doesn´t work.
I re-installed autocad 2006 and it starts working normally

You're answered your own question. The problem is with AutoCad: AutoCad
2007 -- it seems -- is not backward compataible with AutoCad 2006.
