Word blinking in traskbar and wont respond.

Word 2002 SP2, running over Citrix Metarframe Terminal
Server.

Occasionally when a user attempts an action the Word tab
in the taskbar will start blinking and the word program
will not respond to requests. The program itself does not
go unresponsive (in task manager) but no amount of
clicking, right clicking etc, will produce any action.

This behaviour makes me think there is a dialogue box open
somewhere, but there is not one apparent. Minimising all
windows does not display one, and the only way to get out
of word is to kill it off via task manager.

Appreciate any ideas! :)

Not sure if this applies in terminal session, but the Norton AntiVius Office
plugin is the usual culprit for the flashing.
