Word cannot open the document: user does not have access privileg.

This is the error I continuously recieve when I attempt to use Word 2003 to
edit equations created with previous versions of Word (XP and 2000). No
protection was enabled on the previous versions, so I do not understand why I
am unable to edit the equations now. What can I do to stop/fix this problem?

If you are running Norton AntiVirus, disable its Office Plug-in.
