Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

Anyone have a fix for this? Suddenly, in the past four weeks, more than 50% of my Word docs are unable to be opened.

I have not changed the OS, no software additions, nothing. Just from one day to the next a file that I could normally open and use is now inaccessible. The text has proven unrecoverable.

I've done an extensive search online and on MS.com with no luck.

Anyone else?

There are a few reports of this springing up after the 12.1.7 Update.

I haven't seen it, and I am running 12.1.7. Currently, I don't know what it
is.

If you care to email me a small sample of one of the documents you can't
open, I will see if I can see anything unusual?
