Word can't find installation files to add new features BUT the files do not exist on the CD-ROM to b

Experts,

Today Word told me it needed to install an update and that a required
installation file was not found. According to the error, the file is named
SKU011.CAB. Well, I looked in the Microsoft Office 2003 Professional CD-ROM
and this file is nowhere to be found. It had also wanted MT561403.CAB
before that and I did not find this file either. What gives?

Hi Spin,

There are a couple of possibilities. One is that title of the Office Edition installed on your PC, as listed in Add/Remove Programs
in the Windows control panel is different from the one on the face of the Microsoft CD for Office that you have. (The CD version
needs to match the installed version/edition). Another is that the MS Office Cache files have become corrupted.

SKU011.cab is from the Microsoft volume license edition of Office, Microsoft Office 2003 Professional Enterprise Edition.
