I've done Google searches, but cannot find any guidance on
this...
Word 2000, Word 2003, Win2K, WinXP
I created a simple Word document and saved it as an HTML
file to a web site by defining the FTP site in the "Look in:"
drop down list. This worked fine.
Later, I opened Word and tried to open the document
from the web site both by selecting it from the recent
files list and by locating the file on the FTP site
(again from within Word) and double-clicking the file.
Every attempt to open the file results in the error:
Could not open 'ftp://ftp.mindspring.com/www/Test.htm'
Any ideas of why Word can only save and not open the
file or where I can get more information on what exactly
is failing when it attempts to open the file?
