Word closing unexpectedly

Hello,

Why might Word close unexpectedly?
It happens every 20 minutes or so.
It had not happened for 6 months, now it happens everytime.
It happens evens when nothing else is open.
I have removed all my photos from the computer incase this was
confusing it, but still no success.
It has even happened with Safari
How can I stop this?

Hi David:

I think it is crashing on the SECOND attempt to save an AutoRecover image of
the open document.

As Daiya says, there may be something wrong with that document, or with your
Normal Template, or with your file permissions.

My first guess would be file permissions.

The instructions Daiya gave you should sort it out, whatever it is.
