Word converter/ Viewer

Does anyone know about the link below. It is suppose to
convert Word Documents for people who do not have Word.
What I don't understand is it suppose to on your computer
or theirs.

Hi, Tom. The Word viewer should be installed on the computer of the person who does not have Word.

Tom, to clarify this: the viewer does *not* convert anything. It's
just the display part of Word without the editing part. A person whose
PC doesn't have Word can use it to open, read, and print Word
documents, they just can't make changes or save anything.
