E-mail attachments created in Word are stored on a network
server. When one attempts to open those .doc files using
Windows Explorer, the workstation crashes. All computers
are running Windows 2000 and either Word 2000 or Word
2003. If Word is first loaded on the workstation, files
can be opened without a problem.
Short of leaving Word always running in the background on
the workstations, what can be done?
