Word crashes on exit

Word stops responding everytime I try to quit the program. I end up
having to hit Ctrl-Alt-Delete to force the application to quit. All other
functions within the program appear to work normally.

Any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

This also happens to me - however it also crashes while
running - and have done comprehensive virus checks and
downloaded patches ex Microsoft site but still happens-
also Ctrl-alt-del- that brings up task manager- shows 2
copies of the one word program I have open
HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please let us have some more information such as Word and Windows versions,
networked or standalone, what network and server, etc?

I am having the same problem, I have reinstalled Word
with no help; have you found anything that works?
