word crashes when i get to page 12

Heather

I am creating a document to be used as a template. When I
open the word document and scroll down to page 12 - there
is/was a figure there. I want to delete what is there and
replace it with a new image. However, every time I get to
page 12 - word crashes saying it can't read the memory
being referenced.

"DDE Server Window WINWORD.EXE - Application Error"
The instruction at "..." referenced memory at "...". The
memory could not be "read".

I tried copying the contents of the file into a new
document but I get the same error in the new document.

Argh....

Any thoughts?

TIA!!!!

Heather.

One thing to check is in the Edit/Links menu. Break any
links that are set to automatically update, and delete any
old, possibly corrupt links that could be causing
problems. A DDE error means the document is trying to
access something outside itself and when it can't do it
successfully it gets cranky and yells at you.

Good luck!
