Word crashes when I read the textfield-value in protected mode

Hi,

I have a problem using the onexit-macro with a formfield.
Word crashes if I click on a formfield in protected document mode. But
this only happens if the formfields are on more than one page.
I have tested this with Word 2000 9.0.6926 SP3. All updates are
installed.

To reproduce the error:
- Create a new document
- Insert 2 textinputfields at the beginning of the document.
- Insert a third textinputfield at the bottom of page 2 (hit enter
serveral times to create the new page) and name it "three". It is
important to place the third field near the bottom of page 2 and not on
top to make the distance to field 1 and 2 big enough.
- create a new macro called "crashtest" with one line:
myvalue = ActiveDocument.FormFields("three").Result
- Now doubleclick on the first field and assign this macro "crashtest"
to the onexit event
- protect the document so the user can only fillout the textfields
(Menu extras / protect)

Write the word "test" into both fields on page 1.
Now press the TAB-Key serveral times so that the contents of field 1 is
highlighted.
If You now click on field 2 using the mouse word will crash.

Any suggestions how to solve this problem ?
I only want to read some values to calculate a sum. I am sure this must
be possible in any way.
Thank You!!
