If I am working in Word (office Professional 2000) and
attempt to open a new file, the "Word" tab on the lower
status bar turns orange and starts flashing, and
everything freezes. If I do ctr-alt-del, I get the
message: you cannot close MS Word because a dialog is
active". Also, I notice at that point that the task
manager lists the file twice, as if it were opened twice
