I have a Word 2000 document on a MS 2000 PC that installs
add-in macro templates on the fly. This document has
dropdown form fields that have exit events that reformat
the document as necessary, like adding new dropdowns,
typing text, changing fonts, etc. It seems that if I
really hammer on the document, clicking and moving around
as fast as I can, the document pretty quickly gets the
error message box "Application Error" and "The memory
could not be read". Then, Word terminates. I am
currently on SP3, but it had the same exact issue on ALL
SP releases. It also happens on every user's PC, so the
problem is not just on mine.
Has anyone done this kind of stuff with Word and have any
advice as to what could be wrong? It seems to have
something to do with the mouse click event becuase I can
navigate as fast as I can with the keyboard, but when I
use the mouse and "exit" a certain formfield is when this
error occurs.
Thanks for any help!
