Looking at other people's Word problem, it seems from July
9th everybody is complaining of the same thing, "Word
won't open" however my breakdown occurred on or about July
1st.
It suggests the possibility of a virus that activated
about that date and affects all versions of Word.
I attempted to contact Microsoft for technical assistance,
but for that the "Product ID" is needed, and since Word
would not open, there is no way to find out the number.
All folders with word documents are safe, just word won't
open, even after reinstalling it and also running "Repair
Word".
If someone can contact Microsoft to let them know about so
they can do something URGENTLY.
