Word Doc issues after CD burn.

After burning some word documents to a CD the files became corrupt. One is
giving "The document name or path is not valid" issues, one looks like a .doc
when you open it in notepad (filled with squares and such), and one just
causes Word to hang. Is there any way to recover these files?

If you're trying to open the Word files directly from the CD,
don't do that. Instead, copy the files back to your hard drive,
and open the copy on the hard drive.

It has been pulled off. Even the original file on the original machine that
worked fine pre burn is having the same issue.

Then the file was probably corrupt before you burned it to CD.

recovery procedures on a COPY of the file, not on the original file.
