Word Doc will not retain zoom setting

I typed this long document at the "page width" zoom setting (127%). That way
the screen corresponds to the printed page.

After I paginated the document, it resets itself to 100%., which makes it
look skewed on the screen.

I tried "select all" and reset it to 127% and saved it. No luck, it keeps
opening at 100%.

What happened and how can I make it un-happen? Thanks!

Thanks, Greg, but the problem is that this reversion to the 100% setting
affects only this one document (the one that I paginated in the header).
All of my other documents open at the proper "page width" (137%) setting.

So, this is a problem that affects only this one document. In other words,
the problem is somehow imbedded in the document, not in the template.

Walter,

Personnally, I use an AutoOpen() macro stored in my document template to
force my desired view settings. You could use:

Sub AutoOpen()

ActiveWindow.View.Zoom.Percentage = 127

End Sub

FWIW, I have this problem with a specific series of documents. They are
legal-sized, in landscape format, Print Layout view, and I have tried in
vain to get a 105% zoom to "stick." In general, I don't have a problem with
any other documents consistently failing to retain zoom settings, though I
do have intermittent problems with other documents opening at 105% or some
other zoom in which they were not saved. I'm convinced it has something to
do with the zoom setting of the previous document opened as Window 2, but I
have not been able to find any solution.
