Word document available on website asks for password

Is there a way to place a Word document on a site for
viewing, so that when a user opens it - it will not ask
for a password. This is very annoying! Thanks.

The users must have Office/Word 2000 with all updates or Office/Word XP,
Office/Word 2003
to not get the prompt.

When you saved the Word Doc did you set it to have a Modify Password? If so, it will always ask for
a password when someone opens it.

INSTEAD of putting a Modify poassword, simply PROTECT the document as a FORM and put a password
there. This will also not let anyone modify the form but they can open it up and print it and such
just fine.

I tried that once before and I just tried it again and
still asking for network password.

Thanks anyway!

I have all the updates on my pc "Office 2000" , it's still
not working. I also offer the document in pdf but some
users still requesting document in Word, if you have any
other suggestions or if there is a update to Off. 2000
that I may have missed, I would appreciate any suggestions.
