Word document opening problem

When I open a blank Word document, the header has disappeared and the cursor
is at the very top of the page.

When I "open" the actual template, there is no problem, but opening a "new"
document produces the abovementioned result. This doesn't happen, however,
when opening an existing document - only my template ones.

Any ideas ?

In Word, click on Tools | Options | View tab | check the "White
space between pages" box | OK.

Hi Susan,

In Tools=>Options=>View does the behavior change when you turn on the 'White space' setting?
