word document - send message to microsoft box appears

Angelica

I have a user who works with word documents as templates.

She opens up her documents and modifies whatever text
needs to be updated and when she closes the document she
gets the message box to send information to microsoft.
After inserting images into these documents she gets the
same error screen to repor to to MS. Apparently the
documents are corrupt in some way as I tried it on my
machine and it also gave me the same error.

Can you please let me know what else to try as I have
reinstalled office, removed the normal.dot and deleted
the data folder under office in the registry and removed
Works Suite. Thank you in advance.

Her OS is XP and Word 2000.

Using corrupted documents as "templates" to create other documents is
guaranteed to create corrupted documents.

You may be able to make uncorrupted documents from the existing ones
by the procedures in
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/CorruptDoc.htm. If that works, get
rid of the old ones.

If that doesn't work, make new documents from scratch and throw away
the old ones.

In any case, stop torturing the template/document relationship. See
