Word document with fill-in fields protected as a form

I need to be able to edit, add and delete paragraphis with large amounts of
text in a document that is protected as a form with fill-in fields. These
fields, even allowing for "unlimited" characters in the individual fill-in
field properties box, do have limited numbers of characters permitted so I
cannot place these paragraphs into fill-in fields.
