I need to know if I created a document in Word 2007 and I named the document
the same name as another document and when I was asked did I want to
overwrite the previous document I accidently said yes. Is ther anyway I can
get the previous document back because it was very important.

Unfortunately no. :-( When you were asked "Are you sure?" and answered "Yes"
you went beyond the point of recovery.

Now, if you kept backup copies, either manual backups or have the "Always
create backup copy" enabled in Word Options then you might be able to
recover some or all of your work. For the latter, look for files with a
*.wbk file extension in the same folder as your file.
