Word documents lock up

Using Word 2000. Often documents lock up (often when I go to print or save) Top bar with my document name and Mocrosoft Word and the Document tab in the task bar blink. The only way to stop it is to control alt delete multiple times and close the document.

This problem is most likely caused by a conflict with the Norton Office
Plug-in. See “Title Bars Flash, Word Becomes Unresponsive, or Word Cannot
