Word documents locked

I am having a problem with word documents being locked.
The only way to free them is to reboot the server. I'm
not sure how or why they are being locked, it's almost
like another user is using them. Any ideas?

Using my clairvoyant abilities, I'm going to hazard a guess that you are
using Office XP with Windows 2000 Server with Servicepack 3?
