It appears that you have somehow associated the files with
the .doc extension to Wordpad. To change this, go Start -
Settings - Control Panel Folder Options, and select the
File Types tab. Scroll down until you find the DOC file
type, and you should find that this will show Wordpad as
the File Type. Click on "Change", and find and select
Microsoft Word for Windows. That should take care of it.
